Job Highlight – Digital Preservation Specialist, Rothe/NASA – 31st July 2026

This week’s highlighted opportunity is for a Digital Preservation Specialist with NASA subcontractor Rothe, supporting Johnson Space Center’s imagery collection.  The role, operating as a remote/hybrid position within the USA, involves migrating over 50,000 video and LTO (Linear Tape-Open) data tapes to a new digital storage platform, consolidating metadata from multiple databases and exploring AI/ML tools for the workflow.  Candidates need a relevant degree, three years’ experience in DAM, media asset management or archives, and familiarity with metadata standards such as Dublin Core, PBCore or MARC.  A Digital Asset Specialist certification is preferred.
